I am taking part in the 2017 Dakar Rally

I would like to give you my warmest greetings from the 2017 Dakar Rally route. I am pleased to take part in the Rally for the third time.  Each year, the organizers modify the rally route.  This time it goes through Paraguay, Bolivia and Argentina.  Right now, we are in the Andes, close to Tupiza, Bolivia. The altitude is rather high.

I am here for the very first time in my life and I feel a little dissapointed.  Once we arrived, we got cold, wet and covered in mud.  This was not what I had expected.   The race used to be organised in hot countries where the route went through sandy areas.

Frankly speaking, my ligaments tolerate it pretty well, so does my knee. Fortunately, I don’t need to walk through these special stages. As soon as I get back, I’m going to hospital to have my torn ligament fixed.
